You will not be trained for Richmond’s cycling revolution!

Today I was discussing cycling with someone who would dearly like to cycle to school with her daughter. Aside from issues around the routes available to her, we talked about training.

Three years ago I did a level 3 Bikeability course through Richmond, so I thought I’d check what the council does to help adults get confident on their bikes. What training does the council offer now, I wondered?

Well, sadly, the answer is ‘none’, if you’re an adult. June from the council wrote back to tell me she has no budget for adult training, but may get some in October. Until then, if you’re an adult in Richmond who wants to get confident on a bike, you’re on your own.
